Counting Down the Days 'till Spring!

The last few weeks seem to have been rough on everyone. Despite the weather and the horrible flu that seems to be making its way across the country (and our Curtis team), we have been hard at work creating new designs and searching for content to fit the various trends we saw at the Atlanta Gift Show. Gift Beat confirmed our opinion, stating that the overall mood at market was upbeat, with mostly positive feedback from manufacturers, reps and retailers. They also added the “little red truck” and mermaids to the popular trends, although we felt those are definitely on the way out.

Valentine’s Day and the Winter Olympics are giving Americans plenty of reason to celebrate this month! Even though the National Retail Federation expected only about 55 percent of Americans celebrated Valentine's Day in 2018, this is still a lucrative holiday as far as merchandise goes  with an estimated $19.6 billion in total spending which is a higher figure than last year.

February also brings a milestone date for us with the 75th Anniversary of Norman Rockwell’s famous Four Freedom images.

In fact,  “Freedom Of Speech” made its debut 75 years ago this week! To honor this important anniversary, the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge is putting together a special traveling exhibit titled Enduring Ideals: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms. The exhibit will not only include all four of the Freedom paintings, but will also include images by other Post artists such as J.C. Leyendecker and Mead Schaeffer. The exhibit will travel to various venues. For more information

With spring just around the corner, we are also excited to see some of our new products pop up in the market. In fact, some of our spring flags featuring ever-popular frogs will soon be available at Lowe's and our designers are hard at work already creating more!
